Shinzo Abe, who is a member of a prominent political family, is the first Japanese prime minister born after World War II. He studied at Seikei University in Tokyo before attending the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He entered the political world in 1982 and took office as Japan's seventh prime minister in December 2012.
