1. Hotel Transylvania (2012)
The “Hotel Transylvania†is a lot more comedy than fright, suitable for kids about ages 5 and up. This animated film has all the right party guests like the Werewolf, the Mummy, Frankenstein's monster, Dracula and a few zombies. However, your kids will love this movie not only for the comedy but also for the music.
2. Nightmare before Christmas (1993)
The “Nightmare Before Christmas†tells the heartfelt tale of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who is bored of his life preparing for Halloween. He decides to try his hand at Christmas with the help from the ghosts and ghouls. With the amazing soundtrack, this movie is fun to watch and not spooky at all.
3. Corpse Bride (2006)
The “Corpse Bride†tells about a shy groom who is practicing his wedding vows before the ceremony in the inadvertent presence of a deceased young woman. When he is goofing around with his wedding ring, she rises from the grave assuming he has married her. With very little to no scary moments, this film is fun for the whole family to watch this Halloween.
4. It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)
Although theâ€It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown†is short, it is still interesting enough to hold your kids’ attention. The Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween and Linus hopes that he will be visited by the mysterious Great Pumpkin. So he spends the night in a pumpkin patch while the rest of the gang celebrates Halloween in the usual traditions.
5. Casper (1995)
The “Casper movie was produced by Steven Spielberg in 1995. Ghost therapist Dr. James Harvey and his daughter Kat bunk in an abandoned house, which contains a treasure guarded by 3 mischievous ghosts. They decided to move into the mansion to get rid of the supernatural creatures and Kat makes friends with one friendly ghost named Casper.
6. Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie (2005)
With no spooky parts, the “Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie†is a sweet movie and is perfect for little kids. Roo's new pal Lumpy joins Pooh and his friends for Halloween in the 100 Acre Wood. Roo and Lumpy set out to catch the mysterious Gobloon and end up learning what it means to be a real friend.
7. Hocus Pocus (1993)
In the “Hocus Pocus†movie, the Sanderson sisters return in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night after 300 of being trapped in another dimension. They attempt to kidnap the parents of all the children in town and it is up to two teenagers to put an end to the witches reign of terror once and for all.
